During my time at NASA Ames, I developed a new pump and sensor system to extend operating time for the International Space Station Cell Science 3 (CS03) bioreactor from 15 to 90+ days.
The extended capabilities allow the bioreactor to investigate the role of CDKN1a/p21 on mesenchymal stem cell proliferation, differentiation, and regeneration in microgravity.
